Degree Work Updates

An upgraded Degree Works with a "responsive" dashboard is set to launch in late 2024! The upgrade provides students with a more streamlined, mobile-friendly and ADA compliant experience.

In anticipation of this upgrade, we are excited to offer advisors and Banner users a sneak peek before the official upgrade launch in late 2024. Use both the new "responsive" and current "classic" dashboards before the "classic" version retires in October.

This link is intended for academic advisors and banner users ONLY. Please do not share the link with anyone outside of those groups.  Please note there are some known "issues" in the new "responsive" version you see today. We are looking into or have already addressed these issues for the official version launching later this year.

  • Known Issues
    1. Class Level Audit Display: In the header, the word "goal" may appear as the Class Level in some audits. This is expected to be resolved in the version launching in October.
    2. Printing or Saving in Responsive View:
      1. The Degree Progress Icons appear very large in the "responsive view." This is expected to be resolved int he version launching in October.
      2. Left-side labels and icons are not visible int he "responsive view." This is expected to be resolved in the version launching in October.
    3. Course Details in the Exceptions: Details on courses are limited due to settings that cannot be activated until the final version goes live in October.
    4. What-If Analysis for Majors: The What-If drop-down allows submission of majors outside of assigned curriculum rules. Ellucian is aware of this defect and working on correcting this issue. 
  • Feedback

    We have added a Degree Works Responsive feedback option to our existing Workfront queue. Feedback will be considered for the official Degree Works upgrade in October. Changes to the soft launch version will be limited.

    Please review the Known Issues section prior to providing feedback as many issues have either been addressed or are being worked on in the final version launching October.
