Administrative Tuition Processing Fee

Avoid Administrative Tuition Processing Fee by Paying On Time

We want you to be a successful student at UCR and have a smooth experience.  Students’ role is to learn about and adhere to university deadlines to avoid administrative process fees, losing classes, and having holds placed on your record that will prevent future registration.  If you have questions about the details below don’t hesitate to reach out for assistance.

Undergraduate students:

  • If you don't pay your tuition and fees by the fee payment deadline, you may be charged a $45.00 Administrative Tuition Processing Fee.
  • Students will have a five (5) business day grace period (excludes weekends and holidays) to make payment after the published fee payment deadline.  If fees are not paid during the grace period, you may be assessed the $45.00 Administrative Tuition Processing Fee, and/or your courses may be dropped.
  • If your courses are dropped for non-payment, you will have an opportunity to re-enroll in classes on a space-available basis through the add/drop period ends.  If you are able to successfully re-enroll in classes, you are expected to pay tuition and fees immediately.

A delinquent hold may be placed on your record at any point after the payment grace period.  This hold would prevent further/future registration.

Graduate and Medical students:

  • Tuition and fees are to be paid by the first day of instruction.  A five (5) business day grace period will be given for those that have missed the payment deadline.  Fees not paid within the grace period may be charged a $45.00 Administrative Tuition Process Fee.

A delinquent hold may be placed on your record at any point after the payment grace period.  This hold would prevent further/future registration.

Important

  • If you want your financial aid and/or student loans to pay for tuition and fees, you must be registered for the right amount of units by 4 p.m. on the fee payment deadline. Contact Financial Aid for details.

Cancelling Enrollment

If you are enrolled in courses and decide, before instruction begins, not to attend the upcoming quarter, you MUST cancel your enrollment or you will be responsible for paying your fees and tuition.

Remember! If you do not enroll or cancel your admission, you can re-enroll for up to two additional consecutive quarters without having to reapply for admission.  We hope to see you back, so look in your R’Mail account for updates on registration for next quarter!
